Atkins Project in Canby

The Atkins family has called their 1991 manufactured home their own for the past four years. They are a young family of five with three children ages 8, 5, and an infant. While the husband works tirelessly to provide for his family, the cost of replacing their failing roof is far beyond what they can afford.

Over time, the roof has deteriorated significantly and now has multiple active leaks throughout the home. What should be a place of safety and security has become a constant source of stress and concern for this young family.

After meeting the Atkins family, the Catalyst team knew we needed to step in and help.

Together, volunteers will help provide a safe, dry home where these children can grow up without the fear of rain leaking into their living space. This project is more than replacing a roof—it’s about tangibly coming alongside neighbors and reminding a young family that they are not alone.

Project Scope

Day 1: Remove existing roof and begin replacing damaged plywood
Day 2: Complete plywood replacement, install new skylight, and begin installing new roof
Day 3: Complete roof installation and site cleanup
