Ellis Deck & Exterior Paint Project in Beaverton
Ms. Ellis is a 72-year-old low-income senior living with disabilities in a 1991 manufactured home that has been in desperate need of repairs for many years. In the summer of 2025, Catalyst volunteers replaced her failing roof before it could cause severe water damage inside the home.
This year, volunteers are returning to continue transforming Ms. Ellis’s home and help provide a safer, healthier place for her to live.
The project will include:
- Repairing and replacing deteriorated siding that is at risk of allowing water intrusion into the home
- Replacing an unsafe deck that has become a serious safety hazard
- Painting the exterior of the home to help protect it for years to come
For Ms. Ellis, these repairs mean more than home improvements—they mean safety, dignity, and peace of mind.
Now we’re looking for volunteers to come alongside her and help make a lasting impact.
Volunteer Details
We are looking for 12 volunteers per shift each day.
Shifts Available:
- Morning Shift: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Lunch will be provided daily at 12:00 PM for both shifts. Water, Gatorade, and light snacks will also be available throughout the day.
There will be opportunities to serve in a variety of ways, both skilled and unskilled, so no experience is necessary.
